Skate or die motherfucker contains issues concerning skateboarding and thrashmusic, nothing more nothing less! As a kid I got a toy-deck from 'Sinterklaas' (fuck you all with Santa Claus) but somehow I wasn't pleased with it and traded it for a pair of rollorskates! I really don't know why, it would have been way better for my skateboardstory if I had kept the toy-deck, but unfortunatly I didn't! Ten years later I was heavily involved in the d.i.y. metal and hardcore scene and lot's of the bands I liked had something to do with skateboarding (the Stupids, Intense Degree, Suicidal Tendencies). So when I meet a couple of old school skatedudes in school it was an eazy connection to start surfing the sidewalk. You must know this was the early nineties and skateboarding was practicly dead in the part of the Netherlands where I lived... but soon after 'rollorbladehell' hit bigtime and as a reaction to this cancer our last skateboardingboom was created! I don't like tony hawks playstation game, I don't like espn with their very aggressive xxx games, I don't like to see that skateboarding is fashion, I just don't like it when people define me as a skateboarder just because the media claims it to be like that! For me skate or die motherfucker is a guide to keep my head way up high. This is my view and I hope to please some of you with it!
Since June 2005 my right knee is fucked up for life so skateboarding is on a low level and probably will stay there!
